We are proud of our exceptional service and care that we provide to both you and your pet. We are all animal owners and understand that special care is required for each individual pet, no matter what type of pet.
If your pet gets too stressed out by the car trip to the vet never fear - we’ll come to you!
House visits can be arranged anywhere in our call out area which extends from Bayswater to Gembrook, incorporating Monbulk, Macclesfield, Boronia, The Basin, Tecoma, Upwey, Ferny Creek, Sassafras, Montrose, Kalorama, Olinda, Mt Dandenong, Kallista, Belgrave, Silvan, Tremont, Cockatoo, Yellingbo, etc.
The charge increases the further away from Olinda/Mt Dandenong you live. Some cases may still need to be brought back to the surgery (e.g. if x-rays are required or surgery is needed). For more complicated consultations often it is recommended to visit our surgery rather than a house call because we have the full range of medical & surgical facilities at hand if needed. Times can be arranged to suit but we prefer to do house visits in the late morning or early afternoon during weekdays. Due to limited staff sometimes house calls may not be possible on weekends.
Home euthanasia can be a less stressful experience for you and your pet. Often our vets will give a sedative prior to euthanasia to ensure the process is as calm and stress-free as possible for your pet. Pet cremation services are available via Eden Hills Pet Crematorium. This can be arranged completely from our surgery. Ashes can be returned sealed in a wooden box or left open to be scattered in the garden or wherever is a suitable place for your loyal companion. Eden Hills offer a range of options for urns/receptacles and other memorial objects including jewellery.
Dandenong Ranges Veterinary Centre does not service horses or farm animals. Please call us for some recommendations of large animal vets depending on the service required & the area where you live.
